Game-Biotec has been developed in collaboration with the biotech company Vita-Aidelos and intends to bring biotechnology and its applications closer to the general public as well as to encourage youngsters to pursue careers in science, all of it from a perspective that is mainly educational, instructive, dynamic and entertaining. The game can be adapted to suit any number of participants or knowledge level.This adaptability allows for the game to take place in different contexts (Museums, Science Fairs, exhibitions, etc) and so achieve a broad reach, both social and geographical.

It is a kind of board game played on the floor (optionally with small or large groups), where the players themselves act as counters. As the game progresses, and according to the square a player land on, they will be asked to answer some questions or conduct different experiments related to biotechnology. This experimental practice is provided with the adequate material and theoretical basis to be conducted in a way as close as possible to real laboratory conditions, thus enhancing its didactic purpose.

Game-Biotec aims to be a fundamentally didactic experience and has been developed taking as basis two well-known pedagogic tools: play and experimentation.
