General Director: Rafael Camacho

 

Rafael Camacho holds a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (University of Seville) and completed his postgraduate studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Marine Biology. He has developed his career in the field of Innovation Management, both public and private.

 

He started his career in 1989 working for the Research Results Transfer Offfice at the University of Seville, where he specialized in technology transfer, industrial property and university-industry cooperation. Afterwards he held the position of Executive Director at the CESEAND (Centre of Services for European Affairs in Andalusia). In 2002 he joined the biotech company Newbiotechnic, SA (NBT) as Managing Director.

 

In 2006 he was in charge of setting up and managing the Technology Transfer Office for the Ministry of Health of the Andalusian Government, and in late 2008 he joined the management team of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT)
